Welcome to Church Relations
The churches that make up the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference (GNJAC) of the United Methodist Church
are the backbone of the United Methodist Homes Foundation Fellowship Fund. The Fellowship Fund promises
that no resident will be asked to leave a United Methodist Home community due to inability to pay the total
cost of care. United Methodist Homes is a connectional ministry of the GNJAC.
One of the great benefits of being connected is demonstrated through the developing of mission and ministry
that United Methodists do together, and through giving. We are proud to share a strong connection with the
local United Methodist Churches of the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference.
In accordance with Conference guidelines, an amount of $2.50 per member is recommended to each church within
the Conference Jurisdiction for voluntary support of the Fellowship Fund. Churches support this effort in as
many different ways as there are churches! Some include the Fellowship Fund as a line item in the budget;
others take up special offerings during the year, in some cases the United Methodist Women or United Methodist
Men take on this mission, while others form enthusiastic teams of walkers to participate in the
Nancy Gilbert Rhodes Walk for All Ages held in Ocean Grove each year. Did you know
that when individuals make a donation to the Fellowship Fund their church can get credit too?

Church Connections Program
The Church Connection Program was created to strengthen and enhance the connectional relationship between GNJAC churches
and the United Methodist Homes. This is achieved through Ambassadors, members of the local church who act as a direct
line of communication between their church and the United Methodist Homes.
