On May 6, the "Bristol Glen Family" of 454 staff and residents invited their families, local business people, healthcare professionals and the public to their 10th anniversary celebration. Since opening in 2001, 1,094 seniors have called Bristol Glen home.

On Sunday, June 12, scores of volunteers supported the United Methodist Homes' Fellowship Fund by participating in the 17th annual Nancy Gilbert Rhodes Walk for All Ages. The route began at the Great Auditorium Pavilion on Pilgrim Pathway, and ended at Francis Asbury Manor on Stockton Avenue.

The 2008 film "The Great Debaters," has cast worldwide attention on Wiley College, located in Marshall, Texas. Its rich tradition of singers and composers dating back to the 1800’s has given birth to the Wiley College A Cappella Choir. On March 26 the choir will give two concerts in Camden County.

Closely mentored by his aged father in South Korea, Dr. Kim attended public schools, enrolled in ROTC and served two years as a Communicating Officer in the army. He graduated from Han Yang University with a mechanical engineering degree and secured a job at a Swiss firm in Seoul, which enabled him later to run the business on his own.

As you will read in this report, the Homes received many bequests this year - accounting for over 60 percent of our fundraising. This support makes resources available for improving our buildings and grounds, as well as funding for the Fellowship Fund – the promise to never ask a resident to leave due to the inability to pay the total cost of care.

Senior Housing Communities provide apartment accommodations, community rooms, live-in superintendents, emergency call systems, and a full-time staff who manage the community and support the residents. Each community is co-sponsored by a faith-based organization and sustained by programs such as Congregate Services. Senior men and woman must meet the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) affordable housing income limits.
